Raksa Marine Cargo Insurance
Goods Shipment Insurance, or Raksa MarineCargo Insurance, is insurance for the shipment of goods by land, sea, and air. Institute Cargo Clauses (C) - ICC (C) l/l/82
Covers risks caused by loss or damage due to:
Fire or explosion
Vessel running aground, sinking, or capsizing
Land carrier skidding or overturning
Collision of the conveyance with any object other than water
Discharge of cargo at a port of distress
Costs incurred to provide contributory compensation to other cargo owners in the event of a deliberate jettison of cargo in an effort to save the voyage (General Average)
Deliberate jettison of goods into the sea to save the voyage
Costs arising from "General Average" or salvage (Salvage Charges) incurred in connection with the perils during the voyage
This insurance is extended to indemnify the insured for the proportion of liability under the contract of affreightment "Both to Blame Collision" Clause, for the loss/damage covered. When a claim arises from the shipowner under this clause, the insured must notify the insurance company, which will have the right to defend the insured against such claim at its own cost and expense
Institute Cargo Clauses (B) - ICC (C) l/l/82
Covers all losses covered under ICC (C), plus loss or damage due to:
Earthquake, volcanic eruption, or lightning
Goods washed overboard into the sea by waves
Entry of sea water, lake water, or river water into the hold, container, liftvan, or place of storage of goods on board the vessel, causing damage to the insured's goods
Total Loss of a package of goods occurring during the unloading/loading of goods
Institute Cargo Clauses (A) - ICC (C) l/l/82
Covers all loss or damage to goods carried as cargo as long as it is not excluded under the policy. Commonly known as the All Risk coverage of Marine Cargo Insurance
The matters excluded under this policy are:
Wilful misconduct of the Insured (deliberate damage, loss, or cost)
Natural evaporation, natural loss of weight/volume, natural deterioration, and wear and tear
Damage or loss due to poor packing of goods, packing errors, or improper stowage on board the vessel
Damage due to the inherent nature of the goods themselves
Loss due to delay in arrival even if caused by risks covered under the policy
Loss due to the insolvency or poor financial condition of the shipowner, ship manager, or ship operator
Deliberate destruction of goods by the wrongful acts of persons (applies only to ICC C or ICC B)
War, enemy invasion, rebellion, detention, and seizure
Labour strikes, riots, labour disturbances, and terrorists
Insurance coverage begins when the insured goods leave the warehouse or place of storage stated in the policy to commence the voyage and continues throughout the voyage along the ordinary route, ending at the time:
The goods are received by the Insured or arrive at the destination warehouse or final place of storage stated in the policy
Arrival at another warehouse or place of storage chosen by the Insured
Storage of goods other than in the usual place
Allocation or distribution of the goods
Expiry of the 60-day period after the goods are unloaded at the port, whichever occurs first
If, due to circumstances beyond the insured's control, the contract of carriage is forced to terminate at a port or place other than that stated in the policy, the insurance coverage will also terminate, unless prior notice is given to the insurer and the insured applies to continue the insurance coverage with an additional premium if required by the insurer.
If, after the policy coverage has commenced, the destination of the goods is changed by the insured, the premium and policy conditions will also be adjusted, provided that prior notice has been given to the insurer.

Submit Documents and the Insurance Closing Request Letter
After submitting the documents and the Insurance Closing Request Letter, within 1x24 hours on working days, our marketing team will contact you.
Report the Claim
Submit your claim report immediately within 5 calendar days from the occurrence of the accident. You can report it either verbally or in writing via the number 021-3859007/08 or email to claim_nonmotor@araksa.com and come directly to the nearest Asuransi Raksa service office.

Submit the supporting documents as follows:
Prepare supporting documents including the following:
Claim form
Goods invoice
Letter of demand to the carrier from the owner of the goods
Shipping documents, together with shipping details and/or weight notes
Goods loading report
Survey report and/or other documentary evidence indicating the extent of loss or damage
Unloading report and final destination
Other relevant documents in connection with the settlement of the claim
